Create a short-term essentials group containing documents, medication, chargers, clothes and basic kitchen items. Those should travel with you, not disappear behind furniture in the unit.
Load for the next home
Label every box with its destination room and place items needed first near the unit door. Keep fixings from dismantled furniture in labelled bags attached to the relevant item.
Avoid paying for avoidable time
Confirm likely dates, notice arrangements, payment and access before moving in. As soon as completion becomes firm, plan the delivery from storage and leave time to empty and check the unit.
